Plan your dream destination wedding honeymoon

When it comes to your honeymoon, you want to make important memories that will be the pinnacle of your wedding experience. Exotic, intriguing, breathtaking and most of all romantic: your honeymoon’s destination must reflect all these qualities in order for it to be a truly unforgettable experience.

Of course, you’ve got to plan it all first. Nothing will ruin a honeymoon like realizing you don’t have enough clothing on you, being stuck obsessing about unfinished work, or finding out that you don’t have enough money to cover your leisurely stay in a hotel. Here are a couple of tips to help you and your hubbie prepare for the best time of your lives:

• Romance •
If you can’t have a little loving on your honeymoon, you can’t actually call it a honeymoon! This is the entire reason a couple gets a honeymoon, so be sure to clear out work to set up the mood for romancing the days away.

Make sure that you’ve got work, family and other pertinent issues covered as you enjoy your honeymoon, otherwise they’ll totally ruin the experience. Do a little overtime beforehand and work on other life-problems that you’ve got stacked up.

• Expenses •
As much as anyone wants to have the most lavish beach wedding and the top-class honeymoon-suites to match, let’s face it: not all of us have bottomless purses or bank accounts that overflow with enough money to cater to our every whim. If you try to overextend your financial reach and blow it all on a wedding and honeymoon, you’ll find that the reality awaiting you after the honeymoon will be a harsh one indeed.

This is where you and your fiancé can talk things out: strike a balance between economy and quality. If both of you agree that you can afford the price range of Hawaii weddings without breaking the bank, go for it. If you can’t make the numbers balance out, then you may want to opt for a more inexpensive honeymoon location.

• Location •
You may have to spend a more time and money planning for a honeymoon location that’s thousands of miles away from your wedding location. But if you’re going to go for destination weddings, like Hawaiian or Caribbean weddings, then you’ve already got the perfect location for your honeymoon!

Just make sure your nosy relatives aren’t in the same hotel or resort as you are. You’ll need a little privacy, and you definitely don’t want them walking around while you and you’re hubby are all lovey-dovey.

• Clothing •
Going to the beach without a swimsuit isn’t exactly the best idea in the world. Nor is stuffing your entire wardrobe into a whole mess of bags and lugging them half-way across the world. Pick out your best and newest clothes for your honeymoon, and bring as much clothing as you need to cover the length of time you’ll be staying. Also, check if your hotel or resort does laundry so you’ll know to bring even less clothing.

And of course, now’s the time to bring out your most alluring and romantic clothes out of the wardrobe. You don’t want to stifle the romance in the air by wearing flip-flops and PJ’s around, now do you?
