Tips & Advice
The final countdown for your destination wedding planning can be the most stressful. The thought of how close the wedding is can send some brides into a tizzy. Being prepared is the best way to deal with any stress that you may have with your last-minute destination wedding planning.
One of the most important tasks for your final planning is to make sure that everything that you have booked is confirmed. This includes the actual wedding location for the ceremony and reception along with the hotels, flights, and other services such as the flowers and photographer. If any balances are due now, be sure to pay them to confirm the services.
At least a week before you leave for your destination wedding, you want to start packing your bags or at least getting some of the items together. Put everything that you need to take with you in a certain location so that you have it all together when it is time to actually pack your luggage. This includes all your wedding attire along with any clothes for the rest of the stay, accessories, and beauty products that you may need. Don't forget things like jewelry for the wedding and of course the wedding rings. It's also a good idea to make a detailed list of everything that needs to be packed for your destination wedding in advance. This will help you complete any last minute shopping that you need to do, as well a making it a lot easier on you when it comes to packing as you can just check the items off the list to make sure you have everything you may need.
Confirm all the travel arrangements with the wedding party, parents and any guest that may be coming to the wedding. For example, if you are all flying out together for your Hawaiian wedding, then make sure that everyone arrives on time and knows all the information about the flight.
Once you know all the activities and events that you have planned for the wedding, you can make up itineraries for anybody that needs them. You may have to make one up for your fiancé, your parents and for the wedding party so they know exactly what is going and when. This will help to keep everyone on track and on time. Many brides send out a wedding newsletter that includes fun activities at the destination, as well important travel and wedding details.
Once you arrive at your destination, one of the first things that you need to do is to meet with the wedding planner or the wedding locations' manager to go over specific details for the wedding. Since this is most likely the first time you have gone to the location, visit the wedding location and find out what exactly it will look like for the wedding and any special information that the manager may have. After this meeting, be sure to just relax and enjoy the time you have at your luxury destination and think about the wonderful wedding that you will have to talk about for the rest of your life. |
