Transportation:
St. Thomas Airport (STT) services not only St. Thomas, but acts as the hub for the smaller surrounding islands, including St. John. Many airlines fly to St. Thomas, giving your wedding guests a number of travel options. Most flights to St. Thomas connect either in Miami or Puerto Rico. Once in St. Thomas, many visitors choose to rent a car, which allows them more freedom than a taxi or shuttle. But, if you plan to spend most of your wedding time at a resort, a rental car is not needed.
St. Thomas Marriage Requirements:
St. Thomas, like St. John and St. Croix, enjoy a fairly simple marriage process. You will need to complete a marriage application, and follow an 8-day waiting period before getting married. But don’t worry, you can mail your completed marriage application to St. Thomas prior to arriving. When’s the best time to get married in St. Thomas?
Like most Caribbean islands, St. Thomas has year-round warm weather and water, making it a wonderful beach or villa wedding destination. There are occasional rain showers, which tend to occur in the late afternoon. Also, St. Thomas is in the hurricane belt, so you might want to have indoor or backup plans if you choose a wedding date in the summer or fall months.
