Most wedding couples and their guests fly to St. Lucia and land at Hewanorra Airport in Vieux Fort (UVF). Most flights originate in Miami from the U.S., although there are a limited number of direct flights from some East Coast cities. Most wedding guests will want to explore the island, and taxi rates can be steep, so we recommend renting a car for at least part of your trip. St. Lucia is warm year-round, with an average high in the low 80’s F. Destination or beach wedding couples can expect warm waters and sunny days most of the time. St. Lucia is in hurricane zone of the Caribbean, although it tends to not get hit as hard as some of the other Caribbean islands. Regardless, you can get more rain during the summer and fall with storm systems, so you should plan in door backup plans for your beach wedding if it occurs during that time.
