Maui Weddings

Maui. Even the name evokes images of exotic beaches, friendly faces, and rainbows. Maui is paradise on earth, and what some consider the perfect destination wedding location. From the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, to the peak of Haleakala Mountain, to the quiet town of Hana, Maui is as diverse as it gets. Couples have long traveled there to celebrate, and now it caters to the destination wedding seeker like nowhere else.

Why Maui is the perfect place for your destination wedding
If you dream of a warm ocean breeze with the scent of plumeria flowers for your wedding, then Maui is the ideal wedding location. It truly offers something for every destination bride and groom. Do you want to get married on a secluded beach on top of black lava rocks? Or are you envisioning a luxury 5-start resort planning and catering to your every wedding wish? Either way, Maui has it all. With enough entertainment to keep your wedding guests excited, yet all the conveniences of getting married in the U.S., Maui is the destination wedding choice for celebrities and beach bums alike. Most couples also decide to stay in Hawaii for their honeymoon after their destination wedding. The Hawaiian Islands are each very unique, so a destination wedding can blend seamlessly into an unforgettable honeymoon.

Why you might want to pass on Maui for your destination wedding
Do you want a destination wedding close to home? Do you hate flying long distances or have trouble adjusting to different time zones? Do you want a quick weekend wedding? If so, Maui is probably not your ideal destination wedding location. The flight from California to Maui is about 4 fours, and at least double that from the Midwest or East Coast. Also, Maui is a destination to be savored and explored. Once you arrive, you will not want to leave. So, if you are looking for a quick destination wedding, Maui will leave you wanting more.

When’s the best time to get married in Maui?
Weather on the western and southern shores of Maui (where Wailea, Kaanapali, and Lahaina are located) tends to be fairly consistent throughout the year, with highs in the 80’s F during the day and lows in the 70’s F at night. The Wailea and Kaanapali areas are known for their sunny and dry climate, with occasional tropical showers appearing from time to time. But overall, there isn’t a bad time, weatherwise, for your Maui destination wedding. The offseason is usually from mid-April until June, and from mid-September to Thanksgiving. Your can likely get good wedding and hotel deals during these times. Finally, Maui is fortunate to not experience hurricanes, but strong storms and earthquakes do rarely occur.
