Airlines that serve the Dominican Republic include American Airlines via New York and San Juan, Continental Airlines via Newark, Delta via Atlanta, Jet Blue via New York and Orlando, Spirit Airlines via Fort Lauderdale, and US Airways via Philadelphia. It takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to get to the Dominican Republic from New York and 2 hours and 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale.
Entry Requirements
To travel to the Dominican Republic, destination wedding couples and guests must have a valid passport and proof of an onward/return ticket. No visa is required for a stay of up to 30 days. Travelers are required to purchase a tourist card upon arrival. The tourist card cost USD $10 at the time of writing. If you prefer, you can also purchase a tourist card ahead of time at the Dominican Consulate in your area.
