Big Island Weddings

The Big Island of Hawaii is (you guessed it) the largest of the Hawaiian Islands. It also has numerous climate zones, from the dry desert-like coast on Kona, to the wetter side of Hilo, the Big Island is begging to be explored. The Kona coast is a prime destination wedding location since it experiences on a handful of rainy days each year and has plenty of warm sun. Also, there are a number of new, luxury hotels that have been built. This attacts hundreds of couples to pick Kona and the Big Island for their Hawaiian wedding.

Still dreaming of a Big Island wedding? Here’s some information to help you plan:

y is very mountainous and lush, but it’s more of a rolling hills feel, rather than the peaks of St. Lucia or Kauai. Finally, because Big Island is not part of the U.S., all visitors are required to have a valid passport (including Grandma) and I’d be a bit nervous about bringing Fluffy through customs. Oh, and hurricane season occurs every summer, so you’ll want to plan accordingly.
